Day 16 Portland to Portland - Lovell to Sheridan WY

Early to bed, early to rise - we have a mountain to climb!  And a Fantasy football draft. That meant an early 4:45am alarm.  We left the hotel at zero dark thirty for a 99 mile ride with 7600 ft of climbing.  Most of that started at mile 10.  5800 ft to the top of Bighorn Pass and the continental divide.  Today was the highest elevation we will reach on the trip at over 9500 ft above sea level.  What an absolutely epic day.  The climb was difficult and challenging, but so satisfying to reach the top.  As those of you following the blog know, what goes up, definitely goes down.  Today we had a glorious 16 mile descent.  Truly amazing.  Every rider on this trip made it up and over.  That pretty much means all 21 of us will ride EFI (every F-ing inch) of this trip.  We are headed to Gillette WY tomorrow.  I will let the pictures tell the story of the ride.

I did make it back in time for my Fantasy football draft.  Ordered Pizza and had a few beers.
